How Is The Stone Tile Classified?

The stone tile is a very traditional tile, which has been used for hundreds of years in Europe and America. In Britain in particular, they can always be found on the old roofs. The stone tile is favored by the architects who pursue the architectural style with its natural and elegant style.

The stone tile is made by manual splitting of slate or shale, and the biggest difference from other stone materials is the natural joints of the slate tiles. The joints split open and form plates with different thickness. The roof of a stone tile is a traditional product and is different from other roofing materials. The shingle is a tight, healthy rock with excellent strength and durability. The roof shingle thickness varies from 4 to 12 mm according to the requirements, and the roof shape can be flat or even rough. The service life of the roofing shingle is 75 - 100 years. The natural joints of the slate tiles make it easier to split in one direction. The other direction of the crack (usually perpendicular to the direction of the texture) is called the stone. Roofing shingles are usually split open so that the length of the tile is along the stone pattern. Like other stone materials, slate is more and more hard and rough when exposed, and when it begins to collect, the calcium content is divided into three kinds: low calcium, medium calcium and high calcium. The color is generally black, gray, green, purple, rusty and so on.
